  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce
  • 1.5 teaspoons Cajun seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 0.5 teaspoons dried thyme
  • 1 leaf bay leaf
  • 0.5 teaspoons salt
  • 0.25 teaspoons black pepper
  • 2 cups white rice, cooked
  • 2 stalks scallions, sliced (for garnish)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

In a large skillet, heat the butter and olive oil over medium heat until the butter is melted and bubbling.

Add the finely diced onion, green bell pepper, and celery to the skillet. Cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring frequently, until softened and translucent.
