Ingredients

  • 1 pound Shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 3 pieces Jalapeños (thinly sliced)
  • 3 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons Butter
  • 1 piece Lime (juiced)
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cumin
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh cilantro (chopped)

Directions

Step 1

Rinse the shrimp under cold water and pat them dry with a paper towel. Set them aside.

Step 2

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil and butter over medium heat until the butter is melted and lightly bubbling.

Step 3

Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 1 minute, stirring frequently to prevent burning.

Step 4

Add the sliced jalapeños to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes, allowing them to soften slightly.

Step 5

Increase the heat to medium-high and add the shrimp to the skillet. Sprinkle the paprika, ground cumin, salt, and black pepper evenly over the shrimp.

Step 6

Sauté the shrimp for 3-4 minutes, flipping them halfway through. Cook until the shrimp turn pink and are fully cooked.

Step 7

Remove the skillet from the heat and squeeze the juice of one lime over the shrimp. Toss well to coat evenly.

Step 8

Sprinkle the chopped cilantro over the dish and serve immediately. Enjoy as-is or pair it with rice, tortillas, or a fresh green salad.
