Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs Small red potatoes
  • 4 ears Corn on the cob, cut into halves
  • 1 lb Smoked sausage, sliced into 1-inch pieces
  • 1.5 lbs Shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 tbsp Old Bay seasoning
  • 4 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 2 Lemon, cut into wedges
  • 0.25 cup Unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tbsp Salt
  • 6 quarts Water
  • 2 tbsp Fresh parsley, chopped

Directions

Step 1

In a large stockpot, bring 6 quarts of water to a boil. Add 1 tablespoon of salt and 3 tablespoons of Old Bay seasoning to the water.

Step 2

Once the water is boiling, add the potatoes and cook for 10 minutes or until they start to soften.

Step 3

Add the corn halves to the pot and cook for an additional 5 minutes.

Step 4

Add the smoked sausage pieces to the pot and cook for 3 minutes.

Step 5

Reduce the heat to medium and add the shrimp to the pot. Cook for 2-3 minutes, or until the shrimp turn pink and are fully cooked.

Step 6

Turn off the heat and carefully drain the pot using a colander. Transfer the boiled ingredients to a large serving platter or a clean newspaper-lined surface for a casual presentation.

Step 7

Drizzle the melted butter over the shrimp boil, and sprinkle the minced garlic and chopped parsley evenly on top.

Step 8

Serve with lemon wedges on the side for squeezing over the dish, and extra Old Bay seasoning if desired.
