Ingredients

  • 12 oz Penne pasta
  • 2 cups Chicken breasts, cooked and shredded

  • 1 cup Fresh basil leaves

  • 0.5 tsp Black pepper
  • 4 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • 0.5 cup Chicken broth
  • 0.5 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 0.5 cup Feta cheese, crumbled
  • 0.25 tsp Red pepper flakes
  • 1 tsp Lemon zest
  • 4 quarts Water (for boiling pasta)

Directions

Step 1

Bring 4 quarts of water to a rolling boil in a large pot. Add a generous pinch of salt and cook the penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente, then drain and set aside.

Step 2

While the pasta cooks, heat 3 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the fresh basil leaves in small batches and fry for 30-45 seconds or until crispy. Remove and set aside on a paper towel-lined plate.
