Ingredients

  • 2 racks Pork baby back ribs
  • 2 teaspoons Kosher salt
  • 2 teaspoons Black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon Garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon Onion powder
  • 2 tablespoons Brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Apple cider vinegar
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite)
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 275°F (135°C).

Step 2

Prepare the ribs by removing the thin membrane on the underside (bone side) of the ribs. Use a knife to lift a corner of the membrane, then grab it with a paper towel and pull it off completely.

Step 3

In a small bowl, mix together the kosher salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and brown sugar to make the dry rub.

Step 4

Pat the ribs dry with paper towels, then lightly coat them with olive oil. Evenly sprinkle the dry rub on both sides of each rack of ribs, making sure to work the rub into the meat.

Step 5

Place the ribs on a large baking sheet lined with aluminum foil, bone-side down. Cover the ribs tightly with another layer of aluminum foil to seal in the moisture.

Step 6

Bake the ribs in the preheated oven for 2 1/2 hours, or until they are tender and the bones start to protrude slightly from the meat.

Step 7

Remove the ribs from the oven and carefully uncover them (use caution as steam will escape). Brush a thin layer of apple cider vinegar over the ribs, then generously apply your favorite BBQ sauce to both sides.

Step 8

Switch your oven to broil mode. Return the ribs to the oven and broil for 5–7 minutes, or until the BBQ sauce is caramelized and sticky. Keep an eye on them to avoid burning.

Step 9

Allow the ribs to rest for 5 minutes, then slice into individual ribs and serve with extra BBQ sauce on the side.
