  • 12 pieces Pre-made mini pie crusts (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 cup Brown sugar
  • 1.5 cups All-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup Unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 0.75 cup Molasses
  • 0.75 cup Boiling water
  • 1 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 1 large Egg, lightly beaten
  • 0.5 teaspoon Ground cinnamon

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Arrange the mini pie crusts on a baking sheet and set aside.

Step 2

In a medium bowl, combine the brown sugar, all-purpose flour, and ground cinnamon. Mix well.

Step 3

Add the cold, cubed butter to the dry mixture. Using a pastry cutter or your fingers, work the butter into the mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs. Set aside 3/4 cup of this mixture for the topping.
