Ingredients

  • 3 cups Granulated sugar
  • 0.75 cup Unsalted butter
  • 0.6667 cup Evaporated milk
  • 12 ounces Semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 7 ounces Marshmallow creme
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 cup Chopped nuts (optional)

Directions

Step 1

Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper for easy removal of the fudge. Set aside.

Step 2

In a heavy-bottomed medium saucepan, combine the granulated sugar, butter, and evaporated milk.

Step 3

Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture comes to a full rolling boil. Continue to boil, stirring constantly, for 4 to 5 minutes (or until a candy thermometer registers 234°F/112°C).

Step 4

Remove the saucepan from heat and quickly stir in the chocolate chips until fully melted and smooth.

Step 5

Immediately add the marshmallow creme, vanilla extract, and chopped nuts (if using), and stir vigorously until well combined.

Step 6

Quickly pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly with a spatula.

Step 7

Let the fudge cool at room temperature for 4-6 hours, or until completely set. For faster results, refrigerate for 2-3 hours.

Step 8

Once set, use a sharp knife to cut the fudge into 1-inch squares.

Step 9

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week, or in the refrigerator for longer storage.
