Ingredients

  • 230 grams unsalted butter
  • 200 grams granulated sugar
  • 1 piece large egg
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 360 grams all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 180 grams powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 3 tablespoons edible metallic sprinkles or glitter

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, cream the unsalted butter and granulated sugar together using a hand or stand mixer until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.

Step 2

Add the egg and vanilla extract to the bowl, and mix until fully combined.

Step 3

In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.

Step 4

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing on low speed until a smooth dough forms.

Divide the dough into two portions, wrap each in plastic wrap, and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
