  • 3 tbsp Sherry cooking wine

  • 0.5 tsp Garlic powder
  • 4 pieces Hamburger buns
  • 4 slices Cheddar cheese (optional)
  • 4 pieces Lettuce leaves
  • 1 large Tomato
  • 2 tbsp Mustard or preferred burger condiment

Directions

Step 1

Thinly slice the yellow onion into rings. Heat a skillet over medium heat and melt the butter. Add the onions and cook, stirring occasionally, until they are caramelized and golden brown, about 10-12 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, sherry cooking wine, Worcestershire sauce, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix gently with your hands until just combined. Avoid over-mixing so the burgers stay tender.
