Ingredients

  • 1 package Refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 0.5 pound Ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon Taco seasoning
  • 0.5 cup Shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons Cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoons Canned diced green chilies
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame seeds (optional)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 2

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it into smaller pieces as it cooks. Drain any excess fat.

Step 3

Stir the taco seasoning into the cooked ground beef and mix well to coat. Set aside to cool slightly.

Step 4

In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, diced green chilies, and fresh cilantro.

Step 5

Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles.

Step 6

Add a small spoonful of the cream cheese mixture to the wider end of each crescent triangle.

Step 7

Top the cream cheese mixture with a small amount of the seasoned ground beef.

Step 8

Roll each crescent from the wider end toward the tip, enclosing the filling. Place the crescents seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.

Step 9

Brush the tops of the crescents lightly with melted butter and sprinkle with sesame seeds, if desired.

Step 10

Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the crescents are golden and cooked through.

Step 11

Remove from the oven and let cool for 2-3 minutes before serving. Serve warm with your favorite salsa or guacamole for dipping!
