Ingredients

  • 2 lbs Ground beef (85% lean)
  • 1 medium Yellow onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves Garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 0.5 cup Whole milk
  • 2 Eggs, lightly beaten
  • 0.75 cup Ketchup
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 0.25 cup Fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1.5 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Black pepper
  • 0.5 tsp Paprika
  • 2 tbsp Brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp Apple cider vinegar

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, add the ground beef, chopped onion, garlic, breadcrumbs, milk, eggs, 1/4 cup of ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, parsley, salt, pepper, and paprika.

Step 3

Using clean hands or a large spoon, gently mix the ingredients until evenly combined. Be careful not to overmix, as this can make the meatloaf dense.

Step 4

Transfer the mixture to the prepared loaf pan and press it gently to shape it into an even loaf.

Step 5

In a small bowl, whisk together the remaining 1/2 cup of ketchup, brown sugar, and apple cider vinegar to make the glaze.

Step 6

Spread the glaze evenly over the top of the meatloaf with a spatula or brush.

Step 7

Place the loaf pan in the preheated oven and bake for 55-60 minutes or until the internal temperature of the meatloaf reaches 160°F (71°C).

Step 8

Remove the meatloaf from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes in the pan to allow the juices to redistribute.

Step 9

Carefully lift the meatloaf out of the pan (if using parchment paper) or slice directly in the pan and serve warm.
