  • 28 ounces Crushed tomatoes
  • 6 ounces Tomato paste
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 15 ounces Ricotta cheese
  • 1 large Egg
  • 0.5 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 4 cups Mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 12 sheets Lasagna noodles
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley, chopped

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Step 2

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 2-3 minutes.

Add the ground beef and Italian sausage to the skillet. Cook until fully browned, breaking it up with a spoon, about 6-8 minutes. Drain any excess fat.

Stir in the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, Italian seasoning, dried basil, salt, and black pepper. Simmer the sauce on low heat for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

While the sauce simmers, cook the lasagna noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set them aside.

Remove the foil and bake for an additional 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
