Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon Fenugreek seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cardamom
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cloves
  • 0.5 teaspoon Ground nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon Ground black pepper
  • 2 whole Dried red chilies

Directions

Step 1

Start by heating a small, dry skillet over medium heat.

Step 2

Add the coriander seeds, cumin seeds, fenugreek seeds, mustard seeds, and dried red chilies to the skillet.

Step 3

Toast the spices for 2–3 minutes, stirring constantly, until their aroma is released. Be careful not to burn the spices.
