Ingredients

  • 2 pounds Ground beef (80% lean)
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 0.5 cup Milk
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 1 medium Onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1.5 teaspoons Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1.5 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 0.5 cup Ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons Brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Apple cider vinegar

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan with cooking spray or oil.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, eggs, chopped onion, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Use your hands or a spoon to mix everything until just combined. Do not overmix to avoid a dense meatloaf.

Step 3

Transfer the meat mixture into the prepared loaf pan and press it down gently to create an even surface.

Step 4

In a small bowl, whisk together ketchup, brown sugar, and apple cider vinegar to create the glaze.

Step 5

Spread half of the glaze evenly over the top of the meatloaf, reserving the rest for later.

Step 6

Bake the meatloaf in the preheated oven for 45 minutes.

Step 7

Remove the meatloaf from the oven, spread the remaining glaze over the top, and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).

Step 8

Allow the meatloaf to rest in the pan for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
