Ingredients

  • 1 large (about 8 oz) wheel of brie cheese
  • 1 sheet (thawed) frozen puff pastry sheet
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons chopped pecans
  • 2 tablespoons dried cranberries
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon water
  • 1 tablespoon (for dusting) all-purpose flour
  • 1 package (optional, for serving) crackers or sliced baguette

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Step 2

Lightly dust your work surface with the tablespoon of flour and roll out the thawed puff pastry sheet until it’s large enough to fully wrap the brie wheel.

Step 3

Place the brie wheel in the center of the puff pastry sheet.

Step 4

Drizzle the honey evenly over the top of the brie wheel.

Step 5

Sprinkle the chopped pecans and dried cranberries on top of the honey-coated brie.

Step 6

Fold the puff pastry over the brie, tucking and pinching the edges together to seal completely. Trim any excess pastry if needed, and use it to decorate the top if desired.

Step 7

In a small bowl, whisk together the egg and water to make an egg wash.

Step 8

Brush the puff pastry with the egg wash to give it a shiny golden finish when baked.

Step 9

Transfer the wrapped brie to a parchment-lined baking sheet.

Step 10

Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the puff pastry is golden brown and puffed.

Step 11

Allow the baked brie to cool for about 5 minutes before serving.

Step 12

Serve warm with crackers or sliced baguette on the side for dipping.
