Ingredients

  • 2 sheets puff pastry sheets
  • 200 grams cream cheese
  • 150 grams sliced ham
  • 100 grams shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley (optional)
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour (for dusting)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 2

Lightly flour a clean surface and roll out the puff pastry sheets to smooth out any creases. If frozen, let the puff pastry thaw according to package instructions.

Step 3

In a medium bowl, mix the cream cheese, salt, black pepper, and optional parsley until smooth and well combined.

Step 4

Spread half of the cream cheese mixture evenly over each puff pastry sheet, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges.

Step 5

Layer the sliced ham evenly over the cream cheese mixture on each sheet, followed by a sprinkle of shredded cheddar cheese.

Step 6

Starting from one of the longer edges, tightly roll up each pastry sheet into a log. Use a bit of water on the edge to seal the roll.

Step 7

Using a sharp knife, slice each log into 6 equal pieces to make 12 rolls total.

Step 8

Arrange the rolls cut-side up on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about an inch apart.

Step 9

In a small bowl, whisk the egg with the tablespoon of milk to create an egg wash. Brush the egg wash lightly over the top of each roll for a golden finish.

Step 10

Bake in the preheated oven for 22-25 minutes or until the rolls are puffed and golden brown.

Step 11

Remove the rolls from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving warm.
