Ingredients

  • 4 large Russet potatoes
  • 4 cups Vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons Unsalted butter

  • 1 cup Whole milk
  • 1.5 cups Shredded cheddar cheese
  • 0.5 teaspoons Garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoons Paprika
  • 1 teaspoons Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoons Black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley

Directions

Step 1

Wash and peel the russet potatoes. Cut them into evenly sized sticks about 1/4 inch thick.

Step 2

Soak the potato sticks in cold water for 10 minutes to remove excess starch. Drain and pat them completely dry with paper towels.

Step 3

In a large, heavy-bottomed pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C). Ensure you use a thermometer for accuracy.
