Ingredients

  • 1 can (16 oz) refried beans
  • 2 tablespoons taco seasoning mix
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 4 ounces cream cheese
  • 1 cup guacamole
  • 1 cup salsa
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 small can (4 oz) sliced black olives
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 2 stalks (sliced) green onions
  • 1 bag (for serving) tortilla chips

Directions

Step 1

In a medium mixing bowl, combine the refried beans and taco seasoning mix until well blended. Spread the mixture evenly over the bottom of a large serving dish or shallow glass baking dish.

Step 2

In another bowl, mix the sour cream and cream cheese together until smooth and creamy. Spread this mixture evenly on top of the refried beans layer.

Step 3

Spread the guacamole evenly over the sour cream and cream cheese layer.

Step 4

Pour the salsa over the guacamole layer and smooth it out gently with the back of a spoon.

Step 5

Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the salsa layer.

Step 6

Scatter the sliced black olives, diced tomatoes, and sliced green onions over the top as the final garnish layer.

Step 7

Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow the layers to set and flavors to meld.

Step 8

Serve chilled with tortilla chips on the side for dipping. Enjoy!
