Ingredients

  • 450 grams Shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 300 grams Egg noodles (dry or fresh)
  • 2 tablespoons Sesame oil
  • 4 tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Honey
  • 3 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger (grated)
  • 0.5 teaspoon Red chili flakes
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable oil
  • 2 stalks Green onions (sliced)
  • 2 tablespoons Sesame seeds (toasted)
  • 1 medium Carrot (julienned or grated)
  • 1 medium Bell pepper (thinly sliced)
  • 0 to taste Salt
  • 0 to taste Black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Cook the egg noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and toss with 1 tablespoon of sesame oil to prevent sticking. Set aside.

Step 2

In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, honey, and 1 tablespoon of sesame oil. Set the sauce aside.

Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil.

Add the shrimp to the skillet, season lightly with salt and black pepper, and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until pink and fully cooked. Remove the shrimp from the pan and set aside.
