  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 0.5 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 stalks scallions
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Thinly slice the beef sirloin against the grain into bite-sized strips. Season with black pepper and set aside.

Step 2

Wash the asparagus and trim off the woody ends. Cut the asparagus into 2-inch pieces.

Step 3

Mince the garlic and ginger, and thinly slice the scallions, separating the white and green parts.

Step 4

In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, sesame oil, cornstarch, water, brown sugar, and red pepper flakes to create the sauce. Set aside.
