Ingredients

  • 400 g sirloin beef steak
  • 250 g broccoli florets
  • 150 g baby spinach
  • 60 ml soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 60 ml water
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp ginger, grated
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Slice the sirloin beef steak against the grain into thin strips and season with salt and black pepper. Set aside.

Step 2

In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, cornstarch, water, and sesame oil until smooth. Set the sauce aside.

Step 3

Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.

Step 4

Add the beef strips in a single layer and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until just browned. Remove the beef from the pan and set aside.

Step 5

Add the remaining 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil to the skillet and stir-fry the minced garlic and grated ginger for 30 seconds until fragrant.

Step 6

Toss in the broccoli florets and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until crisp-tender.

Step 7

Add the spinach to the skillet and stir gently until it begins to wilt, about 1-2 minutes.

Return the cooked beef to the skillet, pouring the prepared sauce over the mixture. Stir well to combine and cook for another 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken and coat all the ingredients evenly.

Step 9

Sprinkle the sesame seeds and green onions over the top. Toss gently to distribute.
