Ingredients

  • 300 grams semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 150 grams dark chocolate (70% cocoa or higher)
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt flakes
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 100 grams caramel sauce (optional, for filling)
  • 50 grams roasted almonds or peanuts (optional, for topping)

Directions

Step 1

Prepare a baking sheet or flat tray by lining it with parchment paper or a silicone mat. Set aside.

Step 2

In a heatproof bowl, combine the semi-sweet chocolate chips, dark chocolate, and coconut oil.

Step 3

Place the bowl over a pot of simmering water (double boiler method) and stir gently until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth.

Step 4

Remove the melted chocolate from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.

Step 5

If making filled chocolates, pour a small layer of melted chocolate into silicone candy molds or mini cupcake liners. Tap gently to remove air bubbles, then freeze for about 5 minutes to set.

Step 6

If using caramel sauce, spoon a small amount into the center of each mold, making sure it doesn’t touch the edges. Pour more melted chocolate over the top to seal each candy. If not adding fillings, simply pour the melted chocolate onto the prepared baking sheet and spread evenly.

Step 7

Sprinkle the surface with sea salt flakes. For an extra crunch, add your choice of roasted almonds or peanuts on top.

Step 8

Place the chocolates in the refrigerator and allow them to set completely, about 30 minutes.

Step 9

Once firm, remove the chocolates from the molds or break the solid chocolate slab into pieces.

Step 10

Store your homemade 'See S Chocolate' in an airtight container at cool room temperature or in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. Enjoy!
