Ingredients

  • 1 lb lump crab meat
  • 0.5 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp heavy cream
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning
  • 2 tbsp parsley, finely chopped
  • 0.5 tsp paprika
  • 0.25 tsp salt
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • 0.25 cup breadcrumbs

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Step 2

Gently pick through the lump crab meat to remove any shells, being careful not to break up the meat too much.

Step 3

In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine the mayonnaise, heavy cream, egg, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Whisk until smooth and well combined.

Step 4

Carefully fold in the lump crab meat and parsley using a rubber spatula, being gentle to keep the crab meat intact.

Step 5

Divide the mixture evenly into four individual ramekins or baking dishes.

Step 6

In a small bowl, mix the melted butter with the breadcrumbs and paprika. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the crab filling in each ramekin.

Step 7

Place the ramekins on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and the mixture is bubbling.

Step 8

Remove from the oven and let cool for 2-3 minutes before serving.

Step 9

Garnish with additional chopped parsley or a wedge of lemon, if desired, and serve warm.
