Ingredients

  • 12 pieces Sea scallops
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon Butter
  • 1 cup Basmati rice
  • 1 cup Orange juice
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1 teaspoon Orange zest
  • 2 tablespoons Key lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon Honey
  • 1 clove Garlic, minced
  • 0.25 cup Heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh cilantro, chopped

Directions

Step 1

Pat the scallops dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and black pepper.

Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once the oil is shimmering, add the scallops and sear for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove from the skillet and set aside on a plate.
