Ingredients

  • 8 oz Cream cheese, softened
  • 4 tbsp Unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup Sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup Cooked crab meat, finely chopped
  • 0.5 cup Smoked salmon, finely chopped
  • 2 stalks Green onions, finely chopped
  • 2 tsp Dill, fresh and chopped
  • 0.5 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp Lemon juice, freshly squeezed
  • 1 cup Panko breadcrumbs (for coating)
  • 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning (optional, for coating)

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and unsalted butter. Mix until smooth and creamy.

Step 2

Add the shredded sharp cheddar cheese, cooked crab meat, smoked salmon, green onions, chopped dill, garlic powder, and lemon juice. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.

Step 3

Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary. You can add a pinch of salt or more dill if desired.

Step 4

Shape the mixture into a ball using your hands. If the mixture is too soft, refrigerate it for 10-15 minutes until it's firm enough to handle.

Step 5

In a shallow dish, combine the panko breadcrumbs with the optional Old Bay seasoning. Roll the cheese ball in the mixture until fully coated.

Step 6

Wrap the cheese ball in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld and the cheese ball to firm up.

Step 7

Serve chilled or at room temperature with crackers, bread slices, or fresh veggies.
