Ingredients

  • 4 pieces Sea bass fillets
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 1.5 cups Fresh strawberries, hulled and chopped
  • 2 tablespoons Honey
  • 1 tablespoon Balsamic vinegar
  • 0.5 teaspoon Red chili flakes
  • 1 clove Garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Butter
  • 4 leaves Fresh basil leaves, finely sliced (optional, for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

Season the sea bass fillets with salt and pepper on both sides. Set aside.

Step 2

Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Place the sea bass fillets in the pan, skin side down. Sear for 3-4 minutes until the skin is crispy.

Step 3

Flip the fillets gently and cook for another 2-3 minutes until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. Remove the fillets from the pan and keep warm.

Step 4

In the same skillet, add the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil and minced garlic. Sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.

Step 5

Add the chopped strawberries, honey, balsamic vinegar, and red chili flakes to the skillet. Stir well and cook over medium heat for 5-6 minutes until the strawberries soften and begin to break down into a sauce-like consistency.

Step 6

Stir in the butter until melted and the sauce is glossy. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.

Step 7

Spoon the spicy strawberry sauce over the cooked sea bass fillets and garnish with fresh basil leaves, if desired.

Step 8

Serve immediately with your choice of sides, such as roasted vegetables or a light salad.
