Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground turkey
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 0.25 cup milk
  • 1 medium yellow onion, finely chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha sauce (or your preferred hot sauce)
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.5 cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.

Step 2

In a small bowl, mix together the panko breadcrumbs and milk. Set aside for 2-3 minutes to allow the breadcrumbs to absorb the liquid.

Step 3

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, breadcrumb mixture, chopped onion, minced garlic, egg, Worcestershire sauce, sriracha sauce, smoked paprika, cumin, oregano, salt, and black pepper.

Step 4

Using clean hands, mix the ingredients until just combined. Avoid overmixing, as this can make the meatloaf dense.

Step 5

Transfer the mixture into the prepared loaf pan and press it down evenly to form a compact loaf.

Step 6

In a separate small bowl, whisk together the ketchup, brown sugar, and apple cider vinegar to create the glaze.

Step 7

Spread half of the glaze evenly over the top of the meatloaf.

Step 8

Bake in the preheated oven for 40 minutes. Then, remove the meatloaf from the oven and spread the remaining glaze over the top.

Step 9

Return the meatloaf to the oven and bake for an additional 20 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).

Step 10

Allow the meatloaf to rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving. This helps lock in the juices and makes it easier to cut.
