Ingredients

  • 400 grams All-purpose flour
  • 7 grams Instant yeast
  • 30 grams Sugar
  • 5 grams Salt
  • 250 milliliters Milk
  • 50 grams Butter
  • 1 whole Egg
  • 8 pieces Sausage
  • 1 whole Egg (for egg wash)
  • 15 milliliters Water (for egg wash)
  • 10 grams Sesame seeds

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, instant yeast, sugar, and salt.

Step 2

Warm the milk to about 37°C (98°F) and add to the dry ingredients.

Step 3

Melt the butter and add it to the mixture.

Step 4

Add the whole egg and mix everything together until a dough begins to form.

Step 5

Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until it is smooth and elastic.

Place the kneaded dough into a lightly greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place until it doubles in size, about 1 hour.

Once the dough has risen, punch it down to remove the excess air.

Divide the dough into 8 equal portions.

Flatten each portion into a disk, place a sausage in the center, and wrap the dough around the sausage, pinching the seams to seal.
