Ingredients

  • 500 grams ground pork
  • 0.5 medium onion
  • 2 whole garlic cloves
  • 50 grams bread crumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 4 whole burger buns
  • 4 pieces lettuce leaves
  • 1 large tomato
  • 4 pieces cheese slices

Directions

Step 1

Finely chop half an onion and mince two cloves of garlic.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine ground pork, chopped onion, minced garlic, bread crumbs, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Mix well using your hands until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.

Step 3

Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape them into patties about 2 cm thick.

Step 4

Heat a tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large frying pan over medium-high heat.

Step 5

Once the oil is hot, add the pork patties to the pan. Cook each side for approximately 5-6 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 70°C (160°F) and patties are golden brown.

Step 6

Place a slice of cheese on each patty during the last minute of cooking to allow it to melt slightly.

Step 7

While the patties are cooking, slice the large tomato into four slices.

Step 8

Toast the burger buns lightly on a separate pan or in the oven until golden.

Step 9

Assemble the burgers by placing a cooked patty on the bottom half of each bun. Top each with a lettuce leaf, a tomato slice, and any additional condiments of your choice.

Step 10

Cover with the top half of the bun and serve immediately.
