Ingredients

  • 500 grams Ground beef
  • 500 grams Ground pork
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 0.25 cup Milk
  • 0.5 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 4 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 0.25 cup Fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 teaspoons Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Dried oregano
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil

Directions

Step 1

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, and milk. Mix lightly until just combined.

Step 2

Add the Parmesan cheese, eggs, minced garlic, parsley, salt, pepper, and oregano to the bowl. Mix gently, being careful not to overwork the mixture.

Step 3

Using your hands, shape the mixture into 1.5-inch meatballs and place them on a baking sheet or large plate.

Step 4

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

Step 5

Working in batches, add the meatballs to the skillet. Brown them on all sides, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove the browned meatballs and set aside on a plate.

Step 6

Once all the meatballs are browned, return them to the skillet or transfer them to a baking dish.

Step 7

If serving with sauce, pour your favorite marinara or tomato sauce over the meatballs. Cover and simmer on low heat for 15-20 minutes, or bake in an oven preheated to 375°F (190°C) for 15-20 minutes, until the meatballs are fully cooked through and reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).

Step 8

Serve hot with pasta, as a side dish, or as an appetizer with crusty bread.
