Ingredients

  • 1 package puff pastry sheets
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 0.25 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup fresh spinach, chopped
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour, for dusting

Directions

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

Step 2

Thaw the puff pastry sheets as per the package instructions until they are ready to be unfolded.

Step 3

Lightly flour a clean surface and roll out one sheet of puff pastry to ensure there are no creases.

Step 4

In a medium mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, chopped spinach, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper until fully mixed.

Step 5

Spread the cheese and spinach mixture evenly over the puff pastry sheet, leaving about a 1/2 inch border around all edges.

Step 6

Starting with one end, carefully roll the puff pastry sheet with the filling into a tight log.

Step 7

Brush the beaten egg along the edge of the border to seal the roll, then brush the remaining egg wash over the outside of the roll.

Step 8

Using a sharp knife, slice the log into 1/2-inch thick pieces and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Step 9

Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the puff pastry is golden brown and flaky.

Step 10

Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly on a wire rack before serving.
