Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2 pieces garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger (grated)
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine olive oil, soy sauce, lemon juice, and honey. Whisk until fully emulsified.

Step 2

Add the minced garlic, grated ginger, smoked paprika, ground black pepper, and dried thyme to the bowl. Stir well to combine.

Step 3

Place your Arctic char fillets (or preferred fish) in a large resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish.

Step 4

Pour the marinade evenly over the fish, ensuring all sides are well coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish with plastic wrap.

Step 5

Refrigerate the fish and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes, but no longer than 2 hours to prevent overpowering the delicate fish.

Step 6

When ready to cook, remove the fish from the marinade and pat off excess liquid with a paper towel. Discard the used marinade.

Step 7

Grill, bake, or pan-sear the fish as desired, cooking until it reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).

Step 8

Serve hot and garnish with freshly chopped parsley if desired.
