Ingredients

  • 1 sheet Frozen puff pastry sheet
  • 4 large Eggs
  • 0.25 cup Heavy cream
  • 1 cup Shredded cheddar cheese
  • 0.5 cup Diced cooked bacon
  • 0.5 cup Cherry tomatoes
  • 1 cup Chopped spinach
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh thyme leaves
  • 1 teaspoon Olive oil

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 2

On a floured surface, roll out the puff pastry sheet slightly to smooth any creases, then transfer it to the baking sheet.

Step 3

Using a sharp knife, score a 1-inch border around the edges of the pastry, being careful not to cut all the way through. This will create the crust. Prick the center area with a fork to prevent puffing.

Step 4

Bake the pastry in the preheated oven for 10 minutes until lightly golden. Remove from the oven and gently press down the center area if it has puffed up.

Step 5

While the pastry is baking, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, salt, and pepper in a medium bowl.

Step 6

Spread the shredded cheddar cheese over the center area of the pre-baked puff pastry.

Step 7

Pour the egg mixture evenly over the cheese. Scatter the diced bacon, cherry tomatoes, and chopped spinach on top.

Step 8

Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with fresh thyme leaves for added flavor and fragrance.

Step 9

Bake the tart in the oven for an additional 20 minutes, or until the egg filling is set and the pastry edges are golden brown.

Step 10

Allow the tart to cool for 5 minutes before slicing into squares or rectangles. Serve warm and enjoy!
