Ingredients

  • 500 g beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 60 ml soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2 tablespoons mirin
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 stalks green onions, sliced
  • 1 carrot, julienned
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 600 g cooked white rice
  • 60 ml water
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Directions

Step 1

In a bowl, combine soy sauce, sesame oil, honey, mirin, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Add the sliced beef and mix well to coat. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.

Step 2

In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water until smooth. Set aside.

Step 3

Heat one tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Step 4

Add the marinated beef to the skillet and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.

Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.

In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of vegetable oil.
