Ingredients

  • 500 g Ground beef
  • 1 medium Onion
  • 2 Garlic cloves
  • 60 g Breadcrumbs
  • 1 Egg
  • 50 g Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp Fresh parsley
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Black pepper
  • 2 sheets Puff pastry sheets
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 Egg (for egg wash)
  • 1 tbsp Water
  • 1 tbsp Sesame seeds

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.

Step 2

Finely chop the onion and mince the garlic cloves.

Step 3

In a pan over medium heat, add olive oil and sauté the chopped onion until translucent, about 3-4 minutes. Add the garlic and cook for another minute.

In a large bowl, combine the sautéed onion and garlic, ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, grated Parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly until well combined.

On a lightly floured surface, roll out each puff pastry sheet to smooth out any creases.
