Wash and dry the spinach thoroughly. Set aside.
If using canned butter beans, rinse and drain them in a colander.
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly, until fragrant but not browned.
Add the butter beans to the skillet and sauté for 3-4 minutes, stirring gently to avoid breaking the beans.
