Ingredients

  • 4 links Italian sausages
  • 1 large Red bell pepper
  • 1 large Yellow bell pepper
  • 1 large Green bell pepper
  • 1 large Onion
  • 3 cloves Garlic cloves
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons Tomato paste
  • 1 cup Crushed tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon Dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon Dried basil
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Step 2

Add the sausages to the skillet and brown them on all sides (about 6-8 minutes). Remove the sausages from the skillet and set them aside.

Step 3

Slice the red, yellow, and green bell peppers into thin strips. Thinly slice the onion and mince the garlic.

Step 4

In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil. Sauté the onions for 2-3 minutes over medium heat until they begin to soften.

Add the garlic and bell peppers to the skillet. Cook for 5-6 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the vegetables are tender.

Stir in the tomato paste, crushed tomatoes, dried oregano, and dried basil. Mix well to combine.
