  • 8 oz Italian sausage
  • 1 medium (thinly sliced) Red bell pepper
  • 1 medium (thinly sliced) Green bell pepper
  • 1 cup (sliced) Cremini mushrooms
  • 1 cup Pizza sauce
  • 2 cups Shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 0.25 cup Grated Parmesan cheese
  • 0.5 tsp Dried oregano
  • 0.25 tsp Crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C) and place a pizza stone or baking sheet inside to heat.

Step 2

Lightly flour a clean surface and roll out the pizza dough into a 12-inch circle. Transfer the dough to a piece of parchment paper for easy handling.

Step 3

In a large skillet over medium heat, add 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Remove the Italian sausage from its casings and cook, breaking it into crumbles, until browned and fully cooked. Remove the sausage from the skillet and set aside.
