  • 1 pound smoked sausage
  • 1 head green cabbage
  • 3 medium carrots
  • 4 medium potatoes
  • 1 large onion
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 14-ounce can diced tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoons ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Directions

Step 1

Slice the smoked sausage into 1/2-inch rounds and set aside.

Step 2

Chop the green cabbage into large chunks, peel and slice the carrots into rounds, and dice the potatoes into 1-inch cubes. Set the vegetables aside.

Step 3

Finely chop the onion and mince the garlic cloves.

In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced sausage and cook until lightly browned, about 5 minutes. Remove the sausage and set aside.
