Ingredients

  • 1 pound pork tenderloin
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1.5 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 1 medium red bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 2 stalks scallions, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

Slice the pork tenderloin thinly into bite-sized strips. Place the pork in a bowl and add 2 tablespoons of soy sauce and 1 tablespoon of cornstarch. Mix well, cover, and let marinate for 10 minutes.

Step 2

In a small bowl, prepare the sauce by mixing hoisin sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, the remaining 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, 1/2 tablespoon of cornstarch, water, and sugar. Stir until smooth and set aside.

Step 3

Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large wok or skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated pork and cook for about 4–5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pork is browned and cooked through. Remove the pork from the pan and set aside.

Step 4

Add the remaining 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil to the wok. Toss in the onion, red bell pepper, and broccoli florets. Stir-fry for 3–4 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.

Step 5

Push the vegetables to one side of the pan and add the garlic and ginger to the center. Sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant, then mix with the vegetables.

Step 6

Return the cooked pork to the pan. Pour the prepared sauce over the pork and vegetables. Stir everything together to ensure even coating. Cook for another 2–3 minutes until the sauce thickens.

Step 7

Transfer the stir-fried pork to a serving platter. Garnish with chopped scallions and sesame seeds, if desired. Serve hot with steamed rice or noodles.
