Ingredients

  • 2 lbs Ground beef (80% lean)
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 0.5 cup Whole milk
  • 2 pieces Large eggs
  • 1 medium Onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1.5 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Ground black pepper
  • 0.5 cup Ketchup (for the sauce)
  • 2 tbsp Brown sugar (for the sauce)
  • 1 tbsp Yellow mustard (for the sauce)
  • 1 tsp Apple cider vinegar (for the sauce)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil for easy cleanup.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, eggs, finely chopped onion, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and ground black pepper.

Step 3

Using your hands or a large spoon, gently mix all the ingredients until well combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.

Step 4

Transfer the meat mixture onto the prepared baking sheet and shape it into a loaf approximately 9 inches long and 4-5 inches wide.

Step 5

In a small bowl, whisk together the ketchup, brown sugar, yellow mustard, and apple cider vinegar to make the sauce.

Step 6

Spread about half of the sauce evenly over the top and sides of the meatloaf, reserving the rest for later.

Step 7

Bake the meatloaf in the preheated oven for 45 minutes.

Step 8

After 45 minutes, remove the meatloaf from the oven and spread the remaining sauce over the top. Return it to the oven and continue baking for another 15 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).

Step 9

Let the meatloaf rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing to allow the juices to settle.

Step 10

Slice, serve, and enjoy with your favorite side dishes such as mashed potatoes or roasted vegetables.
