Ingredients

  • 500 g Ground beef
  • 50 g Breadcrumbs
  • 1 large Egg
  • 2 tbsp Peanut butter (creamy or crunchy)
  • 1 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Lime juice
  • 2 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 1 tsp Ground coriander
  • 1 tsp Ground cumin
  • 1 tsp Brown sugar
  • 0.5 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Black pepper
  • 2 tbsp Cooking oil (for frying)
  • 2 tbsp Chopped cilantro (optional)

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, peanut butter, soy sauce, lime juice, minced garlic, ground coriander, ground cumin, brown sugar, salt, and black pepper.

Step 2

Mix the ingredients thoroughly with your hands or a spatula until evenly combined.

Step 3

Shape the mixture into small, evenly sized patties, about 2 inches in diameter (you should get 8-10 patties).

Step 4

Heat the cooking oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

Step 5

Add the patties to the skillet in batches to avoid crowding. Fry each side for about 3-4 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.

Step 6

Transfer the cooked patties to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.

Step 7

Sprinkle with chopped cilantro for garnish, if desired.

Step 8

Serve warm with a side of cucumber salad, rice, or as part of a burger sandwich.
