Ingredients

  • 3 pounds Pork baby back ribs
  • 2 tablespoons Brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Smoked paprika
  • 2 teaspoons Garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons Onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Ground mustard
  • 1 cup Apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons Honey
  • 1 cup Ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Liquid smoke
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 275°F (135°C).

Step 2

Prepare the ribs by removing the silver skin membrane on the back of the rack. Use a sharp knife to loosen one corner, then grab it with a paper towel and pull it off completely.

Step 3

In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and ground mustard to create the dry rub.

Step 4

Rub the spice mixture generously over both sides of the ribs, ensuring an even coating.

Step 5

Wrap the ribs tightly in aluminum foil and place them on a baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 hours, or until the meat is tender and starts to pull away from the bones.

Step 6

While the ribs are in the oven, make the barbecue glaze. In a saucepan, combine apple cider vinegar, honey, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, liquid smoke, and olive oil. Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat and let it cook for 10–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened.

Step 7

Once the ribs are cooked, remove them from the oven and carefully unwrap them from the foil.

Step 8

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (or set your oven broiler to high for indoor cooking).

Step 9

Brush the ribs generously with the barbecue glaze on both sides.

Step 10

Grill (or broil) the ribs for 5–7 minutes per side, brushing more glaze as needed, until the edges begin to caramelize and develop a slight char.

Step 11

Remove the ribs from the heat and let them rest for 5 minutes before slicing between the bones.

Step 12

Serve warm with your favorite sides, such as coleslaw, cornbread, or baked beans.
