  • 4 pieces Boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 2 tablespoons Milk
  • 1.5 cups Breadcrumbs (preferably Italian seasoned)
  • 0.5 cup Grated Parmesan cheese
  • 0.25 cup Olive oil
  • 2 cups Marinara sauce
  • 1.5 cups Shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons Chopped fresh basil (optional, for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Step 2

Place each chicken breast between two sheets of plastic wrap or parchment paper. Use a meat mallet or rolling pin to pound the chicken to an even thickness of about 1/2 inch.

Season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
