  • 50 milliliters heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 200 grams dark chocolate (optional for topping)
  • 1 teaspoon flaky sea salt (for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a 9x9-inch (23x23cm) baking pan with parchment paper.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, cream together 100 grams of unsalted butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.

Step 3

Gradually add the all-purpose flour to the butter and sugar mixture. Mix until the ingredients form a crumbly dough.

Step 4

Press the dough evenly into the prepared baking pan to form the shortbread base. Use the back of a spoon or your hands to smooth it out.
