  • 200 grams semi-sweet chocolate chips

  • 3 pieces large eggs

  • 125 grams all-purpose flour
  • 30 grams unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 0.5 teaspoons salt
  • 300 grams soft caramels
  • 4 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt flakes
  • 50 grams crushed pretzels
  • 50 grams toasted chopped nuts (optional)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F) and line a 9x9-inch (23x23 cm) baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang for easy removal.

Step 2

In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter and semi-sweet chocolate chips in 30-second intervals, stirring after each, until smooth and fully combined. Let the mixture cool slightly.

Step 3

Whisk in the granulated sugar and brown sugar until combined. Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

Sift the flour, cocoa powder, and salt into the wet ingredients. Gently fold the mixture together until just combined (do not overmix).
