Ingredients

  • 4 whole Roma tomatoes
  • 1 medium White onion
  • 0.5 cup Fresh cilantro
  • 1 whole Jalapeño pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Lime juice
  • 0.5 teaspoons Salt

Directions

Step 1

Rinse all produce thoroughly under cold water and pat dry with a clean kitchen towel.

Step 2

Core and dice the Roma tomatoes into small, even pieces. Place them in a medium-sized mixing bowl.

Step 3

Peel and finely dice the white onion. Add it to the bowl with the tomatoes.

Step 4

Roughly chop the fresh cilantro leaves until you have about half a cup. Add the cilantro to the mixture.

Step 5

Remove the stem of the jalapeño. For a milder salsa, slice the jalapeño in half lengthwise and remove the seeds and membrane. Finely dice the jalapeño and add it to the bowl.

Step 6

Squeeze fresh lime juice into the bowl, approximately 2 tablespoons. Adjust to taste if desired.

Sprinkle 1/2 teaspoon of salt over the mixture, and stir everything together until well combined.
