Ingredients

  • 4 pieces salmon fillets
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon (grated) fresh ginger
  • 1 clove (minced) garlic
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons (freshly squeezed) lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Preheat a large skillet or non-stick pan over medium heat.

Step 2

Season the salmon fillets with salt and black pepper on both sides.

Step 3

In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, and half of the grated ginger to make the glaze. Set aside.

Step 4

Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in the preheated skillet. Place the salmon fillets skin-side down and cook for 4-5 minutes on the first side until the skin is crispy.

Step 5

Carefully flip the salmon fillets and cook for another 2-3 minutes until the salmon is just cooked through. Remove the salmon from the skillet and set aside.

Step 6

Reduce the heat to low, and in the same skillet, add 2 tablespoons of the prepared honey soy glaze. Cook for 30 seconds until slightly thickened. Return the salmon to the skillet and spoon the glaze over the fillets. Turn off the heat and set aside.

Step 7

In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium-low heat. Add the remaining grated ginger and minced garlic, cooking for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

Step 8

Stir in the lemon juice and chopped parsley into the butter sauce, whisking to combine. Cook for an additional 30 seconds, then remove from heat.

Step 9

To serve, plate the glazed salmon fillets and drizzle with the ginger butter sauce. Garnish with additional parsley if desired.

Step 10

Serve immediately with your choice of sides, such as steamed rice or roasted vegetables.
