Ingredients

  • 4 pieces (6 ounces each) Salmon fillets
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 cup Raw shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 2 tablespoons Unsalted butter
  • 2 pieces Garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley (chopped)
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh dill (chopped)
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 0.5 teaspoon Paprika

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Step 2

Season the salmon fillets with 1 tablespoon of olive oil, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, and 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper. Rub evenly over each fillet.

Step 3

Heat a large, oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat and add the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil.

Step 4

Sear the salmon fillets for 2-3 minutes on each side until lightly golden. Remove from heat and place the skillet in the preheated oven. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

Step 5

While the salmon is baking, prepare the shrimp sauce. In a medium skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.

Step 6

Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.

Step 7

Toss the shrimp into the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring frequently, until the shrimp turn pink and are fully cooked. Remove the shrimp and set aside.

Step 8

In the same skillet, lower the heat to medium-low and pour in the heavy cream. Stir well to combine with any leftover butter and garlic.

Step 9

Add the parsley, dill, lemon juice, paprika, and remaining salt and pepper. Allow the sauce to simmer gently for 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly.

Step 10

Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet with the herb sauce. Mix well to coat the shrimp, and let the sauce warm through for 1-2 minutes.

Step 11

Remove the salmon from the oven and plate each fillet. Spoon the shrimp and herb sauce generously over each piece of salmon.

Step 12

Garnish with additional fresh herbs if desired, and serve immediately with your favorite sides such as roasted vegetables or mashed potatoes.
