Flake the cooked salmon into small pieces and place it in a large mixing bowl.
Add the cream cheese, green onions, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper to the salmon. Mix thoroughly until the ingredients are fully combined and form a soft mixture.
Using your hands or a small scoop, take about 1 tablespoon of the mixture and roll it into a ball. Repeat until all the mixture is used up. You should have about 12-15 balls.
Prepare a breading station with three bowls: one containing the self-rising flour, the second containing the beaten eggs, and the third containing the breadcrumbs.
Roll each salmon ball lightly in the flour to coat, then dip it in the beaten eggs, and finally roll it in the breadcrumbs until fully coated. Set the coated balls aside on a plate.
Heat the vegetable oil in a deep frying pan or pot over medium heat until it reaches 180°C (350°F).
Carefully lower a few salmon balls into the hot oil using a slotted spoon. Fry them in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pan.
Cook each batch for 2-3 minutes, turning occasionally, until the salmon balls are golden brown and crispy on the outside.
Remove the fried salmon balls from the oil and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain any excess oil.
Serve warm with a side of tartar sauce, dill yogurt dip, or your favorite dipping sauce. Enjoy!
